Cloud – Birth

Getting up early has its dividends.
Usually I grab a cup of coffee to start my day, but on this particular morning I reached for my camera instead.
I then stepped to the window, zoomed my camera to its maximum limits and….click. It was a scene that I just had to share. What you are seeing is the birth of a cloud bank rising from the Cheat River, which at this particular juncture runs through the rural area of Kingwood West Virginia located in the Allegheny mountains.
The concentration of the bank is slowly rising from the valley below and the ridgeback line of mountains in the background is one of many belonging to the Appalachian Mountain Range ,which the Alleghenies are a part of.
When the cloud banks lifts, it will reveal the small town of Kingwood, which for now is safely tucked underneath the confines of its cover.
Oh, and I should tell you…I did grab a cup of coffee and finished watching the bank of clouds rise, take shape, billow, and add character to a stunning blue sky. What a way to start a day!
Tranquilty’s Light
There is nothing quite like a peaceful walk underneath the canopy of leaves at the end of the day.
Magic seems to occur as the sound of nature begins its transition from daytime critters to night time creatures.
And as the setting of the sun angles itself through the dense foliage and lightly splashes a peaceful glow upon the leaves, a sense of tranquility fills the air.
A Spider’s Web
Not all foggy, dewy mornings are full of gloom. Take this photo for instance, it is almost impossible to catch a photo of the intricate webbing of a transparent spider’s web…except for conditions such of these.
Macro Crystals
What is it?! This photo is a macro view of a section of the crystal skirt that the Christmas Angel on my tree adorns. I found it interesting.
